Meet Pro Coach Celyne Stoudmann-Shull and ‘Champion Maker’ Helena Nyman!
Celyne Stoudmann-Shull, Pro Coach and Founder of EOI Performance & Adventure Camp
Celyne grew up in Switzerland in a Sports Family. Her mother was a Coach for Olympic Athletes, her father was a National downhill Skier, and her Grandfather was a Hockey Coach. She chose the path as a Pro Figure Skater and International Competitor, and is now a Pro Coach, specialized in Figure Skating and Power Skating. In order to cover all physical aspects of skating, she also became a Certified Personal Trainer.
During her career as a Pro Skater, Celyne traveled the Globe and trained and performed among World’s most prestigious athletes. Being exposed to this kind of caliber of athletes and being raised in a family of Pro Athletes gave her the experience and edge to be one of the most innovative Coaches. Celyne uses her experience to take athletes to the top level.
Her idea to create the EOI Performance & Adventure Camp grew out of her own regrets of never really having had time for a vacation during her active Competitive Skating Career. Her life was dedicated to training for upcoming competitions and championships, and she was never able to spend a lot of time with her family. Combining a High Performance Camp with a Family vacation is Celyne’s way to bring more balance into an athlete’s life. Further, a change of scenery will prevent athletes from experiencing the feared burnout from practicing most of the year in the same environment.
Helena Nyman, a.k.a ‘The Champion Maker’
Helena grew up in a Hockey Family. Her father was a hockey player and a coach, and both of her brothers were incredible hockey players. She chose the path as figure skater, and later as a coach for Olympic athletes.
It was just natural that she always had an eye on hockey. During her days as a figure skater, Helena trained with the Pro hockey players on and off the ice, and she always found new ideas on how to use agility to out-skate opponents.
While coaching Olympic figure skaters, hockey players and coaches from Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, Russia, and former Czechoslovakia were interested in her innovative approach.
Helena earned her nickname “The Champion Maker”. She transforms athletes and coaches into Champions. Many of her athletes started out as average athletes and became later MVPs, top scorers, and Team Captains. Some of them received Awards and Honors.
The importance of Mental Toughness in combination with Skills
Coaching the top 1% of athletes, Helena focuses not only skills, but as well on the mental aspect.
